The underwater image restoration model comprises a multi-branch feature extraction module, a gating fusion module and a reconstruction module which are connected in sequence. The multi-branch feature extraction module is used for extracting image feature information of different scales and different levels of an underwater original image to be restored; the gating fusion module is used for fusing the image feature information of different scales and different levels of the underwater original image to be restored to obtain an underwater low-resolution feature image; and the reconstruction module is used for carrying out image reconstruction on the underwater low-resolution feature image to obtain a high-resolution feature image, namely an underwater restored image.
