Abstract

This document describes methods and devices (eg, routers) for adding on-premises traffic to a multiprotocol label switching (MPLS) network. A method may include: receiving a packet at a router in the MPLS network; modifying the packet by adding one or more MPLS extension headers, adding an extension header header, and adding an MPLS label stack representing one or more An indication that an MPLS extension header has been added to the packet.
