Abstract

The invention relates to a traction battery for an electrically operated vehicle, comprising a battery housing having a housing base, on which at least one battery module or at least one battery cellis mounted in a thermally conductive manner, a coolant channel of a cooling system being associated with the housing base, wherein a heating structure is arranged between the housing bottom and the underside of the battery module in the height direction of the battery or between the housing bottom and the underside of the battery cell in the height direction of the battery, the heating structure having a heating mat with at least one electrical conductor line, which heating mat is part of an electrical heating system, and wherein in the case of battery cooling, the cooling system is activatedand coolant flows through a coolant channel in the housing bottom in order to dissipate heat from the battery module or the battery cell. According to the invention, the heating mat has at least one material recess, by means of which the thermal insulation of the heating mat can be reduced in the case of battery cooling.
