Embodiment Construction

[0046] Today, there is no prior art portable intraoral transilluminator 1 capable of projecting facial blood vessels 23 that would allow healthcare professionals to perform aesthetic and facial surgery with greater safety and flexibility.

[0047] The transilluminator 1 of the invention allows to locate the facial blood vessels 23 (facial artery 23a and some of its branches 23b, 23c, 23d) so that these structures can be projected in advance. Therefore, these structures are preserved, making invasive procedures requiring puncture / injection safer, reducing facial complications and iatrogenic risks.

[0048]The transilluminator 1 of the invention allows to locate the facial artery 23a and some of its branches 23b, 23c, 23d. This is a device that helps to identify the location of the facial artery 23a and some of its branches 23b, 23c, 23d by emitting light when introduced into the oral cavity. The transilluminator has the role of making aesthetic / functional invasive dermatology ...

Abstract

The present disclosure relates to a transilluminator for mapping blood vessels of a face. A portable intra-oral transilluminator (1) is described for projecting some of the blood vessels of the lowerface of a patient (24) prior to surgery or aesthetic intervention. The transilluminator has a central LED (7) that illuminates an interior region of the patient's oral cavity, allowing visualization of the facial artery and its branches, thereby allowing its projection. The use of the transilluminator reduces the risk of epidermal necrosis and bruises in patients (24) undergoing medical facial coordination procedures and other surgical procedures or aesthetic interventions with skin filling.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the field of medical equipment. More specifically, the present invention relates to the field of medical devices configured to detect and project the veins and arteries of the human body. Background technique [0002] Several devices are known from the prior art which are configured to detect blood vessels. Usually, in the prior art, blood vessels are detected and projected by transillumination techniques. However, in some medical procedures, transillumination is not always possible with existing equipment. [0003] Projection of blood vessels can be simplified by transillumination with suitable equipment, allowing such elements to be pre-projected. In this way, these structures are preserved, resulting in greater safety for invasive procedures that may require puncture / injection. This reduces the risk of complications and iatrogenic disease. [0004] For example, document US6424858 discloses a transilluminator configured ...
