Embodiment Construction

[0014] exist figure 1 A preferred embodiment is shown in . The galvanic separation device 1 is integrated in a LIN bus system 2 between the LIN bus and the microcontroller. There is a signal connection LIN_IN for connection to the LIN bus and a signal connection LIN_OUT for connection to a microcontroller.

[0015] Transmissions are bi-directional without having to predetermine a direction. Here, the recessive level is the supply voltage. As long as one of the LIN bus and the microcontroller pulls the bus signal down to ground, the other will follow suit. The galvanic isolating device 1 comprises two galvanic isolating elements 4 , 5 which are each designed as optocouplers. The photocouplers 4 and 5 are connected in antiparallel.

[0016] Each photocoupler 4 , 5 has a light emitting element 40 , 50 and a light receiving element 41 , 51 . The light emitting element 40 of the first optocoupler 4 is connected to the signal terminal LIN_IN. The light emitting element 50 of ...

Abstract

The present disclosure relates to a galvanic isolation device of a bidirectional connecting line of a LIN bus system with two optocouplers (4, 5) arranged in antiparallel, each having a light-emitting element (40, 50) and a light-receiving element (41, 51), wherein the galvanic isolation device (1) is connectable to a LIN bus via a first signal connection (LIN_IN) and to a micro-controller via a second signal connection (LIN_OUT), wherein each signal connection (LIN_IN, LIN_OUT) is connected to the respective light-emitting element (40, 50) of an optocoupler (4, 5), and wherein a diode (42, 52) is connected in antiparallel to the light-emitting element (40, 50), such that, when a low signal level is applied to one of the signal connections (LIN_IN, LIN_OUT), the signal level at the other signal connection is also low, without the signal being fed back.

Description

technical field [0001] The present disclosure relates to a galvanic separation device. Background technique [0002] In a motor vehicle, a LIN (Local Interconnect Network) bus is used for communication among other components. Such a bus system occurs in the lower control level, measured value acquisition level and regulation level. The bus system is used to transmit signals between sensors, actuators, controllers (for example SPS=programmable logic controller), computers and process control systems. [0003] In 48V applications, galvanic separation of the LIN bus is necessary. This galvanic separation provides effective protection against overvoltage, ground offset and reverse current and at the same time achieves improved signal quality in application environments with EMC interference. [0004] Traditionally, galvanic separation has been achieved through LIN transceivers and digital isolators. Wherein, the digital isolator is arranged between the LIN transceiver and the...
