Abstract

The invention discloses a cultivation method for secondary blooming of bougainvillea speetabilis after the blooming period. The cultivation method comprises the following steps: (1) after bougainvillea speetabilis blooms in June, digging soil and cutting roots along the outer side of a canopy water drip; (2) spraying a plant growth regulator to wither all bloomed flowers, pruning and pinching branches at the top ends of the flowers, and removing unbloomed flower buds at the top ends to promote flower bud differentiation; (3) controlling water for 2-3 weeks while pruning the top end, and stopping fertilizing, so that the epidermis of the current-year branches is wrinkled and the branches and leaves are withered due to water shortage; and (4) after 10-12 days of treatment in the step (3), spraying a concentration plant growth regulator to the bougainvillea speetabilis every 10-15 days, after new flower buds are preliminarily formed, starting to apply fertilizer and water, and applying an auxiliary regulator once every 3-5 days until the flower buds bloom.
