Abstract

The scheme comprises two protocols: (i) a distributed key generation protocol and (ii) a distributed threshold signature generation protocol. The scheme is executed by three steps: (1) nodes in the block chain network jointly execute a protocol (i), generate respective private key shares and jointly generate a public key; and (2) for the threshold value t, t nodes in the block chain network are selected to jointly execute a protocol (ii), and the message is signed. And (3) each node in the block chain network takes the message, the signature and the public key as input, calls a standard W-OTS signature verification algorithm to verify the signature and outputs a verification result true / false. The invention can be used in any block chain network, plays a role of digital signature in the network, has important value when being applied to the block chain network, and can be applied to cross-chain transaction and digital asset hosting in the block chain.
