A system (40) of this type comprises: an item supply system (38) which is designed to be transported in a vehicle (38); and a data management system (120) which is designed to link at least one item, present in at least one position in the item supply system (38), with at least one piece of information from at least one sales order, and is designed to link all components of the logistics system (40) with at least one external input or output device so as to be integrated. Depending on the at least one piece of information from the at least one sales order, the at least one position of the at least one item in the item supply system (38) is variable, and so the at least one item is removably stored in the item supply system (38), wherein the data management system (120) is also designed such that it always has available a current state of the at least one piece of information from the at least one sales order.
