Abstract

The invention provides a method and system for payment verification based on GIF dynamic picture processing, and relates to the technical field of electronic payment security. Frame numbers are set and stored at a user side and a payment verification side; when a user side initiates payment verification, a payment password input by a user is collected, and the content of the payment password is written into a static picture; a GIF dynamic picture is selected, the GIF dynamic picture is modified according to the frame number and the static picture written with the payment password content, a modified GIF dynamic picture is generated, and the modified GIF dynamic picture is sent to a payment verification end; after the payment verification end receives the modified GIF dynamic picture, a static picture of a corresponding frame is extracted from the modified GIF dynamic picture according to the frame serial number; the content in the static picture is identified, and a payment password input by the user is obtained; and the payment password is compared with the initial password for verification, and if the verification is passed, processing of the payment transaction is continued.
