The battery thermal management system comprises a battery module; a controller assembly which comprises a system controller and a sensor assembly arranged on the battery module, wherein the sensor assembly is connected to the signal input end of the system controller; a cooling pipeline assembly which comprises a gravity heat pipe assembly arranged on the battery module, a plurality of flow valves arranged on the gravity heat pipe assembly, a circulating water pump arranged at the same end of the plurality of flow valves; and a liquid cooling heat dissipation assembly arranged on the circulating water pump. The gravity assisted heat pipe assembly, the plurality of flow valves, the circulating water pump and the liquid cooling heat dissipation assembly are all provided with liquid cooling pipelines and are sequentially communicated to form a liquid cooling loop. The gravity assisted heat pipe is adopted for cooling, efficiency is high, heat dissipation is uniform, and temperature difference is not prone to being caused. The optimal working temperature range of the batteries can be kept, so that the temperature difference between the battery packs is lower than a threshold value, and the service life consistency and the service life of the batteries are ensured.
