The present invention relates to a reinforced thermoplastic polyester resin composition containing (A) 20-35 parts by mass of a polybutylene terephthalate resin; (B) 1-10 parts by mass of a polyethylene terephthalate resin; (C) 1-10 parts by mass of a copolymerized polybutylene terephthalate resin; (D) 5-12 parts by mass of a copolymerized polyethylene terephthalate resin; (E) 1-6 parts by mass of a polycarbonate-based resin; (F) 45-60 parts by mass of a fiber-based reinforcement material; and (G) 0.05-2 parts by mass of a transesterification inhibitor, wherein the total amount of components (A), (B), (C), (D), (E), and (F) is 100 parts by mass. By using the reinforced thermoplastic polyester resin composition, a molded article having an embossed appearance free of unevenness and having few appearance defects such as floating of a reinforcement material can be stably obtained under various molding conditions while having high rigidity (bending modulus of greater than 30 GPa) and high strength.
