Problems solved by technology

[0003] Traditional weather radars use parabolic antennas, which only have one beam for each scan, and it is impossible to scan multiple beams at the same time. In the process of using civil aviation weather radars, different users have different requirements for radar data. Weather forecasters hope that radars can use body scans To obtain the three-dimensional structure of the weather echo, the airport controller is interested in the echo changes within a certain elevation angle range in the airport area and whether there is a low-altitude wind shear change, and the approach controller will be more interested in the weather conditions in the approach control area. In order to pay attention, the regional adjustment pays more attention to the large-scale weather changes on the entire regional route

Embodiment

[0046]In civil aviation meteorological support, weather forecasters hope to obtain body scan data at 200km and 10 elevation angles, airport controllers hope to continuously monitor changes in echoes within 50km at 10° elevation angles, and approach controllers hope to continuously monitor 5° The change of the echo within the range of 100km at the elevation angle, the regional control controller hopes to continuously monitor the change of the echo within the range of 400km at the elevation angle of 0.5 degrees.

[0047] In response to the above-mentioned four types of civil aviation users’ different needs for meteorological detection data, and taking advantage of the advantages of instantaneous multi-beam and beam agility of phased array weather radar, this patent provides a specific multi-task scanning strategy based on phased array weather radar. see details Figure 5 .

Abstract

The invention discloses a multi-task scanning strategy based on a phased array weather radar. The multi-task scanning strategy employs an intra-pulse multi-beam scanning mode to combine a plurality of detection tasks in one scanning strategy, wherein the intra-pulse multi-beam scanning mode is a scanning method for achieving the arbitrary pointing of a plurality of beams in a pulse repetition period; through a ntra-pulse multi-beam scanning signal mode, pulse signals in multiple frequencies arecontinuously transmitted in a pulse repetition period; when the pulse signal of each frequency is transmitted, firstly an antenna phase shifter is controlled, an antenna beam points to an expected beam position, and then the pulse signal is transmitted; and after all the pulse signals are transmitted, all units of the antenna receive echo signals, and different receiving beams are synthesized according to different beam directions pointed by different frequencies during transmission. According to the invention, the requirements of different users on meteorological detection data differentiation in the civil aviation meteorological guarantee process are met, the civil aviation air traffic control meteorological guarantee capability is improved, and the flight safety of a passenger plane is guaranteed.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to radar detection technology, in particular to a multi-task scanning strategy based on phased array weather radar. Background technique [0002] Weather is one of the main reasons for flight delays. The main weather factors that affect flight are thunderclouds, low clouds, strong winds, thunderstorms, hail, turbulence, moderate or greater icing in clouds, low-altitude wind shear, and low visibility. Weather radar is the main equipment for observing these meteorological phenomena. [0003] Traditional weather radars use parabolic antennas, which only have one beam for each scan, and it is impossible to scan multiple beams at the same time. In the process of using civil aviation weather radars, different users have different requirements for radar data. Weather forecasters hope that radars can use body scans To obtain the three-dimensional structure of the weather echo, the airport controller is interested in the echo changes wit...
