The catheter pump comprises a catheter, a foldable pump head and a coupler connected to the proximal end of the catheter. The intervention assembly comprises a tearable sheath and a folding sheath, wherein the tearable sheath can partially intervene into the vasculature of the subject through the puncture opening, and the catheter is sleeved with the folding sheath in a sliding mode. When sliding towards the far end, the folding sheath is suitable for containing the pump head in the unfolded state in the folding sheath so that the pump head can be switched to the folded state. The folding sheath is operably inserted into the tearable sheath such that the pump head is delivered through the tearable sheath in a collapsed state to the vasculature. The tearable sheath with the maximum size is operably stripped after the pump head enters the vasculature, and only the folding sheath with the small size is reserved in the puncture opening in the auxiliary blood pumping work process of the pump head, so that the puncture opening does not need to be kept in the large size in the whole work process of the catheter pump, healing of the puncture opening is facilitated, and the probability of complications of the puncture opening is reduced; meanwhile, the pain of a subject can be relieved.
