Problems solved by technology

[0004] However, the above two methods of establishing network topology have the following disadvantages in mobile IP and wireless environments: (1) RMON or SNMP require additional detection or agent programs to collect information in practice
This is an additional burden for devices (such as personal digital assistants PDA) with limited system computing power and resource allocation (such as: storage, power distribution) that is very important, and indirectly affects the execution efficiency of other applications
(2) For developers, to support a new monitoring software, a new communication protocol must be implemented on the basis of the existing protocol, which greatly increases the time for developing new products
(3) The current network monitoring standard does not support IP mobility yet, especially for the IPv6 part. For the mobile host (Mobile Host), in addition to the fixed local address, there is another A temporary address on the foreign network that changes dynamically as the device moves
Therefore, current monitoring software using a single IP address is not suitable for mobile IP environments

Embodiment Construction

[0026] The first preferred embodiment of the low-load topology method used in the mobile IP system of the present invention is described by taking a network environment for wireless transmission as an example, please refer to figure 1 The system architecture diagram shown is mainly composed of a management host (Probing Server) 1, managed terminals 21, 22, and managed local agent hosts (Home Agent) 31, 32. The managed terminal 21 further includes three portable devices 211 , 212 , 213 .

[0027] The above-mentioned management host 1 is a network monitoring host for establishing the network topology of the portable devices 211 , 212 , 213 to monitor or manage the portable devices 211 , 212 , 213 conveniently. The management host 1 communicates with the managed terminals 21, 22 via the Internet 41, and the managed terminals 21, 22 can still directly connect with their local agent hosts 31, 32 respectively. The portable devices 211, 212, 213 can be personal digital assistants (P...

Abstract

A method for detecting topologically in a mobile IP system is that a managing terminal sends a requirement of topological detection to a managed terinal in the web, the managed terminal replies directly the information of distribution of the current resources to the managing terminal after receiving the requirement of topological detection, and the managing terminal establishes the topological conditions of web of the managed terminal according to the information of distribution of the current resources replied by the managed terminal. And the managing terminal performs a dynamically prediction according to the statuses replied several times before by the managed terminal to calculate the interval of time between the time at which this requirement of the topological detection is sent and the time at which the next requirement of the topological detection will be sent.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a method for establishing a network topology, in particular to a topology detection method suitable for a mobile Internet Protocol (IP) system. Background technique [0002] With the popularization of information network, the composition of the network has become more and more complex. Therefore, the establishment of network topology in network management is becoming more and more important. Based on the information provided by the established network topology, network administrators can more efficiently understand the operation status of each device and resource allocation in the current network, as well as the usage status of each network segment. [0003] The existing network topology establishment methods are mainly divided into two types: (1) According to standard specifications: such as the common Remote Monitoring Protocol (Remote Monitoring, RMON), Remote Monitoring Protocol 2 (RMON2), Simple Network Message Protocol ( ...
