Embodiment 1

[0033] By having 120g / cm 2 The starch-sized 100% pure cotton unbleached fabric of the fabric weight is pretreated for 1 minute in a Linie tester at a temperature of 95°C. The medium used is composed of 200mL of 25mM phosphate buffer with a pH of 9.0. Contains 0.5g / l Tergitol 15-S-12 and 0.9g / l Optisize HT 40. After this pretreatment, the fabric was directly and quickly (15 seconds) subjected to a vacuum treatment followed by a scouring step. In this step, the fabric is treated in a Linie tester for 1 minute at a temperature of 55° C. using the same buffer as the pretreatment step, except that 5 ml / l of Baysolex 20022 (pectate lyase: Bayer Formulated product, the enzyme itself is ex Novozymes), after this scouring step the fabric is vacuum treated and then rinsed for 15 seconds in 200ml of water in which 0.5g / l Tergitol 15-S-12 and 1mM EDTA are dissolved at a temperature of 95°C. Afterwards, vacuum once more, and then rinse the fabric again, this time only with 70°C (200ml) ...

Embodiment 2

[0037] The procedure described in Example 1 was followed except that the fabric was not subjected to a different vacuum treatment. The results are shown in Table 2. The positive effect of the vacuum treatment can be clearly seen in the results obtained.

Embodiment 3

[0039] The procedure described in Example 1 was followed except that the fabric was not subjected to the pretreatment step and, for comparison, the fabric was subjected to an integrated desizing and scouring step for 2 minutes.

[0040] Table 3 shows the evaluation results of this procedure and Example 1. The results clearly show the positive effect of the pretreatment step on starch removal. It is important to note that in both processes the fabric is enzymatically treated for the same amount of time. Furthermore, it was found that significantly better hydrophilicity could be obtained with the pretreatment step, although the incubation with pectinase took twice as long as compared with the process without pretreatment.

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for treating a cellulosic grey fabric comprising the following steps: (a) a pretreatment step in which, in the presence of water, at a temperature of 60-100 DEG C, the fabric is contacted with a thermostable enzyme which degrades starch; and (b) an integrated desizing and scouring step in which, in the presence of water, at a temperature of 70 DEG C at the most, the fabric as obtained in step (a) is contacted with an enzyme which degrades a polymeric component of the primary cell wall of cotton and an enzyme which degrades starch. The invention also relates to the use of fabric as obtained using the method of the invention for manufacturing textile products. The invention also provides fabric manufactured using the method of the invention. The invention further relates to textile products manufactured from fabric treated using the method of the invention.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a process for the treatment of cellulosic ecru fabrics, comprising at least a pretreatment step (a) and a step (b) integrating desizing and scouring, to the fabrics obtained by this process, the use of the fabrics treated by this process for the production of textiles Uses and textiles produced from fabrics treated by this method. Background technique [0002] The treatment of cellulose natural fabrics is important in the production of textiles. In order to make the threads spun from textile fibers stronger and to prevent the threads from breaking during weaving, before weaving, size is added to the threads, usually in the form of starch. In this method, the threads of the fabric are sized. However, starch needs to be removed from the natural color fabric obtained after weaving is completed, as it can have a detrimental effect on the subsequent processing steps of the natural color fabric obtaine...
