Abstract

The invention involves a technique for adjusting the resistance in equipments simulating bicycle's movement. First, use one speed-detecting motor to check the speed at the pedals and output speed signals. Then calculate the current simulated position. Calculate the initial resistance according to the simulated terrain at the current simulated position and the preset simulated position. Then generate the resistance control signals according to the initial resistance and the speed signals that have been detected. After this, utilize one output torque of the servo motor in accordance with the resistance-controlling signals. Then adjust the torque outputted by the servo motor, using a torque sensor. At last, the generated resistance is to be applied on the pedals. With the above technical scheme, the resistance on the pedals of an equipment which simulates bicycle's movement can be regulated according to the operating condition. In addition, more real simulation effect would be achieved by incorporating video / audio equipment, fan and other appliances.
