The system 10 includes a local system 12 and a remote backup system 14, which may be connected via a communications medium 16 such as for example, a LAN, WAN, Internet, etc. The local system 12 includes disk memory 18 (e.g., a plurality of disks arranged in a RAID architecture) that interface with a disk driver 20.
