The direction of rotation of the centrifugal fan blades (5) is opposite to that of the rotor blades (1). The rotor blades (1) can also be equipped with an external drum attached to their ends.

Abstract

Main rotor features rotor blades, mounted on the outside of a split bowl-shaped bushing; a centrifugal fan is mounted inside the bushing and fan blades rotate in direction opposite to the rotation of rotor blades. Rotor blades are encased in an external drum attached to its ends, which, in turn, is fastened to a bushing with bolts; a centrifugal fan is constructed as a disc with blades and no casing. Alternatively, rotor blades can be mounted on the outside of a split bowl-shaped bushing while the centrifugal fan is placed inside, and equipped with an external drum.
