The invention provides a cast
titanium alloy for oral restoration, which consists of the following components in percentage by weight: 1 to 15 percent of
indium and the balance of
titanium. The cast
titanium alloy is prepared by the following steps of:
smelting the titanium and the
indium into an
alloy ingot by using a
vacuum arc furnace; carrying out
solid dissolving treatment on the obtained alloy
ingot at 850 DEG C for one hour and
quenching; and carrying out hot rolling on the quenched alloy
ingot so as to make the thickness of the alloy ingot be 1 to 2mm, and obtaining the cast
titanium alloy. The cast
titanium alloy has the advantages that: the components of the alloy have good
biocompatibility, and cannot release toxic ions when used in an
oral cavity; the cast
titanium alloy is based on the titanium and inherits the excellent
corrosion resistance of the titanium, so the cast titanium alloy has good
corrosion resistance; the
mechanical strength of the cast titanium alloy is higher than that of the pure medical titanium, so the cast titanium alloy is suitable for producing
prosthesis with smaller sectional dimension, such as snap ring, support, crown and bridge,
removable partial denture, and the like, and can improve the use experiences of the patients; and because the microhardness is greatly improved, the
abrasive resistance of the alloy is improved, so when used as a
metal dental crown, the cast titanium alloy can effectively
resist the function failure caused by wear.
