Abstract

Belonging to technical area of Radio-on-Fiber communication system, the invention discloses multi-frequency light millimeter wave (MLMW) generation device and corresponding receiver. MLMW generation device carries out mixing multiplepath radio sine wave signal and corresponding multichannel data signals. Then the coupled multichannel signals drive light modulator to modulate light carrier so as to obtain MLMW. MLMW receiver is in use for turning the received MLMW signals to multi-frequency electric millimeter wave signals, next divides them into multiplepath unifrequent electric millimeter wave signals, and then downloads the data signals. Being applicable to full duplex optical fiber wireless communication system, the invention generates MLMW signals by using only one light modulator. Features are: high feasibility, and saving cost of system.

Description

(1) Technical field

[0001] The invention belongs to the technical field of optical fiber-wireless (Radio-over-Fiber, abbreviated as ROF) communication system. (2) Background technology

[0002] The communication frequency adopted by the future UWB wireless communication technology will extend to the millimeter wave band. However, there are currently two important factors that limit the development of millimeter-wave communication. One is that the transmission loss of millimeter-wave signals in the air is too large, so the transmission distance is too short. The other factor is that millimeter-wave communication devices are too expensive, which is not conducive to personal correspondence. A fiber-over-fiber communication system (Radio-Over-Fiber, ROF for short) can solve the above problems. The ROF system includes a central station (Central Station, abbreviated as CS), an optical fiber link and a base station. The central station generates optical millimeter waves and uplo...
