Abstract

The invention relates to global-positioning technology, which provides a bus-stop reporting device aiming at the defect of the prior art that reporting stop by a manual-operation machine is easy to report mistakenly. The invention comprises a loudspeaker and a stop information storage module that is used for storing stop information tables recording the name and position information of each stop; a GPS positioning module, which is used for receiving GPS signals and generating and outputting information of the present position; a matching module, which is used for receiving the information of the present position to match with the stop position information recorded in the stop information tables and play arriving prompt messages including a matched stop name by the loudspeaker. The invention further provides a bus-stop reporting method. The matching between the information of the present position and stop position information in the stop information tables is automatically realized without manual intervention, which can reduce wrong reporting rate in greatest degree; the device is connected to a bus directing center with the help of mobile communication network, which leads the bus directing center to know the situation of buses at real time and is helpful for further optimization of bus schedule.
