The invention relates to a towing horizontal fishery detector, comprising a towing body, a towing rope, a multi-channel data acquisition unit, a signal processor and a terminal display, wherein two duplicate vector hydrophones are installed in the towing body with an X-direction parallelled with the direction of the towing body and a Y-direction perpendicular to the direction of the towing body; the towing rope is a multi-core bearing cable armored with TELFON; the vector hydrophones are connected with the multi-channel data acquisition unit via the towing rope; the multi-channel data acquisition unit comprises an analog signal pretreatment circuit and a data acquisition circuit that are integrally designed in an electronic cabinet; and the multi-channel data acquisition unit is connected with a computer. The invention integrates the novel vector hydrophone technique and modern signal processing technique to provide a passive type fishery detector, which has the advantages of low cost, stable performance, easy operation and good practicability.
