Embodiment Construction

[0026] With reference to the attached drawings and see figure 1 , the present invention relates to a washing machine of the top-loading type comprising a base structure 10 which can be placed on the floor. The base structure 10 can be constructed in different ways, preferably in the form of a barrel comprising an outer shell 11 which can be formed by a front wall portion 11a extending to the rear of the machine and two parallel side wall portions 11b tangential to the front wall portion 11a . The bottom structure 10 may also include an upper wall portion 12 attached to the front wall portion 11a and the side wall portions 11b, the upper wall portion 12 being provided with a central opening 12a for receiving other elements of the machine. The base structure 10 may be constructed from any suitable material, for example, from die cut sheet metal or injection molded material. The bottom structure preferably forms the bottom of the machine box, so that an additional box surroundi...

Abstract

The invention relates to a top-loading type washing machine, which comprises a bottom structure and a bucket connected with the bottom structure, wherein at least one opening is formed on the bottom structure and used for accommodating other elements of the washing machine. The bottom structure is artistically matched with the bucket. The connection between the bottom structure and the bucket forms the outer part of the washing machine, therefore, a box body for encapsulating the bottom structure and the bucket are not needed.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a top loading washing machine having a fixed tub housing a rotatable basket mounted on a vertical drive shaft passing through the bottom of the tub and connected to a motor unit. Background technique [0002] In top-loading washing machines, the motor unit usually includes an electric motor connected to a drive shaft, and the motor unit may be positioned under a support frame fixed to the bottom wall of the tub. The assembly consisting of the motor unit, vertical drive shaft and rotatable basket remains fixed to the bucket. As a result, the vibrations generated by the rotation of the basket during the washing and spin-drying operations are transmitted to the tub, especially during spin-drying of unbalanced mass of clothes. In this type of construction, the tub vibrates simultaneously with the basket and the motor unit. [0003] In this type of construction, the bucket cannot directly touch the floor because the bucket...
