Abstract

The invention provides a mobile terminal and a method thereof for receiving data. The mobile terminal comprises an antenna, a radio frequency receiver, a digital base band and a control unit, wherein the digital base band comprises a pumping filter, a compensation filter, a root raised cosine filter and a demodulator which are connected in sequence, wherein the compensation filter is a non-symmetrical filter; and the control unit is used for turning on a data receiving switch of the digital base band before the antenna switch is turned on; and after the compensation filter is filled with noise, the data receiving switch and the antenna switch of the root raised cosine filter are turned on. The mobile terminal and the method thereof for receiving the data can effectively overcome the distortion of initially-received data caused by the asymmetry after the compensation filter is adopted, thereby improving the quality for receiving the data.
