Other bandwidth resource of the SCM-PON and EPON can support real-time video-on-demand (VoD) service based on the DVB and IPTV. The method comprehensively utilizes the advantages of two on-demand modes of the NVOD and VoD and two on-demand services of the DVB and IPTV, improves the largest concurrent number supported by a network system and reduces the average waiting time of a user.
