Abstract

The invention discloses a method and an electronic device for providing popular programs. The method is used for guiding a user of the electronic device to select the popular programs, transmitting information of the programs selected by the user to a central processing unit, then receiving gathered collective intelligence data from the central processing unit, and finally displaying the gathered collective intelligence data for an individual user in a user group, wherein the data comprises information of the programs selected by a plurality of users. The method adopts the technical proposal that the method provides guide for watching the popular programs for the users in a watching environment with a plurality of programs, and effectively meets the requirement of the prior media technology development.
