Embodiment 1
[0076] Example 1: Blends of soda ash and sodium percarbonate
[0077] Densified soda ash (granulated sodium carbonate) was mixed with sodium percarbonate (Oxyper S131, AvOx 13.7%) in a ratio of approximately 60:40 (with some variation around this value) (samples 1 / 3 to 3 / 3 ) in the plow shear mixer ( type) mixed for 5 minutes.
[0078] The ratio between sodium percarbonate (PCS) and soda ash (SA) was varied in such a way that the resulting blends had AvOx according to Table A below.

[0081] Due to the particle size distribution listed in Table B, all samples were milled to below 500 μm for the UN O.1 test. The AvOx content before and after sample preparation was tested again and confirmed.

Embodiment 2
[0089] Example 2: Blends of Sodium Bicarbonate and Sodium Percarbonate
[0090] Sodium bicarbonate and sodium percarbonate were continuously fed into the fluidized bed at a ratio of 70% by weight of percarbonate and 30% by weight of sodium bicarbonate.
[0091] For the evaluation, two batches of Oxyper S131 were used in two experiments. The available oxygen content (AvOx) of both was measured to be 13.7% by weight. The purity of the BICAR (bicarbonate) powder used was determined to be 97.9% by weight by acid titration. Table D lists the relevant particle size distributions of the BICAR (sodium bicarbonate) powders used. The AvOx of the resulting blend was about 9.5% by weight.
