Abstract

The invention discloses a loudspeaker and a method for playing a sound source, wherein, the loudspeaker comprises an encoding and decoding module, a power amplifier module, a loudspeaker module and a temperature detecting and processing module. The encoding and decoding module is used for transforming audio frequency data into a analog electronic signal to be gained; the power amplifier module is used for amplifying the analog electronic signal; the loudspeaker module is used for transforming the amplified analog electronic signal into a voice signal; and the temperature detecting and processing module is used for detecting the current operating temperature of the loudspeaker module and adjusting gain of the analog electronic signal according to the operating temperature. The loudspeaker and the method of the invention solve the problem that the loudspeaker for sound source output is easily burned out owing to high temperature, thus protecting the loudspeaker.
