Problems solved by technology

However, through artificial self-pollination, the seed setting rate of each variety increased to varying degrees, but the Louisiana Iris seeds could not germinate completely in the same year after harvesting, and the germination was not uniform, and the emergence rate was low, so it was difficult to produce seedlings in production.
Seeds germinated in the natural state have a very low emergence rate, usually 2-12%, and it is difficult to propagate on a large scale

Embodiment Construction

[0018] The present invention provides the artificial seedling raising method of the artificial self-bred seeds of Louisiana iris 'Heather Stream', 'Colorific' and 'Gooddoctor' three varieties, which is to select the seeds according to the selected seed collection time and determine the thousand-grain weight of the seeds→acid treatment→ Soaking in cold water → seeding in field seedbeds at normal temperature → covering with river sand, shading with sunshade nets → conventional fertilizer and water management → seedling cultivation in nutrient pots for seedling cultivation. Each step is described in detail below.

[0019] (1) Selection of seed collection time and determination of thousand-grain weight of seeds: In August to September of the first year (Suzhou area), 78 days to 115 days after artificial pollination in the field, when the seeds are mature, the seeds are harvested, and the harvested Select the seeds, remove the stunted and irregular seeds, keep the full and uniform ...

Abstract

The invention relates to an artificial seedling method of Louisiana iris. By utilizing the method, the artificially self-pollinated seeds of the Louisiana iris are subject to seedling culture through the following steps: choosing the seed picking time and determining the thousand seed weight of the seeds; performing acid treatment; soaking the seeds in cold water; seeding in a normal-temperature field seedbed; covering the seeds with river sand and shading light with a sunshade net before seedling emergence; performing conventional fertilizer and water management; and performing seedling culture in a nutrition pot, wherein the step of choosing the seed picking time comprises: picking seeds 100-115 days after artificial pollination, and choosing the full and uniform seeds; the step of performing acid treatment comprises: soaking the seeds with a 0.05-0.15% potassium permanganate solution for 20-40 minutes, sufficiently stirring and washing; and in the step of covering the seeds with river sand, the river sand with 100% water content is utilized. By adopting the method provided by the invention for seedling, the rate of emergence of the year after seeding can reach 57.2%, 53.9% and 64.3% respectively, the seedling time is shortened by 190 days, the seedlings are healthy and strong, the cultured plants grow well, and seedling industrialization is expected to implement.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to an artificial seedling raising method of Iris Louisiana, in particular to an artificial seedling raising method of artificial selfing seeds of three varieties of Iris Louisiana 'Heather Stream', 'Colorific' and 'Gooddoctor'. Background technique [0002] Louisiana Iris ( Louisiana Iris ) is a perennial root flower of the genus Iris in the family Iridaceae, mainly composed of Iris hexagonal fruit ( I. hexagona ), Tall Iris ( I. gigan ticaerulea ), short-stemmed iris ( I. brevicaulis ), Dusky Iris ( I. fulva ) and Nelson's Iris ( I. nelsonii ) and other wild species as parent hybrids. At present, the main varieties of Iris Louisiana are Heather Stream', 'Colorific' and 'Gooddoctor'. Seeds obtained as a result of artificial self-pollination within a variety during the flowering period. The main characteristics of Louisiana iris are large flowers, rich and colorful flowers, various flower types, suitable for both water ...
