The data acquisition unit comprises a frequency shift keying (FSK) modulation-demodulation module, a smart host module and a signal conditioning module which are connected in sequence. The FSK modulation-demodulation module receives RF FSK modulating signals from an HFC network and demodulates the RF FSK modulating signals into baseband serial signals as well as sends local baseband serial signals which are modulated by FSK to the HFC network; the smart host module drives the FSK modulation-demodulation module, analyzes a serial signal resolution protocol, acquires analog signals and digital signals from the signal conditioning module, classifies data, and sends the data; and the signal conditioning module is an electric interface which is connected with the field equipment. The data acquisition unit has the advantages that the FSK modulation-demodulation module uses a phase locked loop (PLL) technology and special FSK demodulation chips and level control chips, horizontally expands the communication frequency range of uplink and downlink channels, longitudinally expands the regulating range of sending RF signal levels, and strengthens the application range of the network management data acquisition unit.
