The invention discloses a novel environment-friendly binding method, which comprises the steps of printing, double-sided plastic sealing, cutting, punching, binding and cover making, wherein the punching step comprises the following steps: grouping well cut book pages and punching group by group, wherein each group contains 1-20 book pages; reserving a 5-50mm margin on the left side of each book page as a binding part; punching a plurality of rectangular holes close to each binding part as page turning grooves; reserving a gap between every adjacent two holes and forming a small connecting strip structure between every two rectangular holes since the gap interval is far smaller than the length of each rectangular hole; and connecting the binding parts and the book pages into a whole through connecting strips and plastic package thin films on the connecting strips.
