The traditional Chinese drug composition comprises, by weight, 0.8-3.0 parts of dan-shen root, 0.3-2.0 parts of szechwan lovage rhizome, 0.6-2.4 parts of barbury wolfberry fruit, 0.5-2.0 parts of chrysanthemum, 0.2-1.2 parts of Chinese magnoliavine fruit, 0.9-6.0 parts of lalang grass rhizome and 0.5-2.0 parts of baikal skullcap root. The preparation method comprises uniformly mixing concentrated medicine powders of each component according to t he relationship among the amount of each component. The traditional Chinese drug has significant effect for treating the macular degeneration, and only requires oral administration. Treatment effectiveness of the traditional Chinese drug for treating the wet macular degeneration is similar to the treatment effectiveness of western medicine Lucentis and Avastin for treating the wet macular degeneration while the traditional Chinese drug has no side effects of the western medicine.
