Abstract

The invention discloses a gateway of communication between Ethernet for control and automation technology (EtherCAT) and CAN, and a communication method thereof. The gateway comprises an EtherCAT protocol controller, an EtherCAT PHY, an ARM central controller, a CAN bus controller and a CAN bus transceiver. The ARM central controller is respectively bi-directionally connected with the EtherCAT protocol controller and the CAN bus controller. The EtherCAT protocol controller is bi-directionally connected with EtherCAT industrial Ethernet through the EtherCAT PHY. The CAN bus controller is bi-directionally connected with CAN bus through the CAN bus transceiver.
