Abstract

The engine comprises at least one cylinder having a bore and a longitudinal axis, in which a piston is arranged reciprocally movable along a working surface, a lubricating device is provided for cylinder lubrication, the lubricating device comprises a lubricant through which a lubricant can be applied to the working surface At least two lubricating points and lubricating lines for delivering lubricant from the lubricant supply to the lubricating points. The lubrication device comprises a pump, a distributor, at least two lubrication lines and at least one corresponding blocking element arranged in each lubrication line. As long as the blocking element remains in the open position, lubricant can be delivered by the pump into the distributor and from the distributor through the lubrication line to the lubrication point. The position of the blocking element can be adjusted by the central unit according to the operating state of the large engine.
