Fresh air is sucked in, compressed by means of a compressor 4 via an intake line 6 and delivered via a fresh air line 7 to one or more burners 8 of the combustion chamber 5 . The air supplied is mixed with the liquid or gaseous fuel supplied via the fuel line 9 and the mixture is ignited. The combustion exhaust gas generated here forms the working medium of the gas turbine system 1 , which is fed to the gas turbine 3 , where it expands to perform work and drives a shaft 10 coupled to the gas turbine 3 . The shaft 10 is also coupled to the gas turbine 3 and to the air compressor 4 and the generator 11 in order to drive these devices.
