The device for positioning the gears on the shaft comprises a gear shaft, a spline pad and the gears, wherein external teeth of the spline pad are adaptive to internal teeth of the gears; and internal teeth of the spline pad are adaptive to external teeth of the gears. According to the invention, the structure is simple; the difficult problem that a snap ring structure cannot be designed for gears of a transmission with a small central moment is solved; a new design scheme is provided for limiting the gears of a twin countershaft transmission simultaneously; and due to the design, a twin shaft assembly is easy to assemble, parts are reduced and cost is decreased simultaneously.
