Abstract

The invention relates to the technical field of engineering machinery, and discloses an engineering truck and a drive system thereof. The drive system comprises a multi-stage axle and an upper cart engine which are arranged on the engineering truck, at least one hydraulic motor which is connected with a primary axle in a driving manner, and a hydraulic pump which supplies oil to the hydraulic motor, wherein the hydraulic pump draws power from the upper cart engine. In the drive system of the engineering truck provided by the embodiment of the invention, a certain axle is driven by utilizing power of the upper cart engine and a corresponding hydraulic system, or a certain axle is driven by virtue of an independent engine and a corresponding hydraulic system thereof, so that auxiliary drive force is provided to the whole truck when the driving capability of a lower cart engine is deficient or the power transfer capability of the lower cart engine is poor, thus the driving performance of the whole truck is improved, and the requirement on power when the engineering truck is in a server road condition or climbs can be better fulfilled.
