Abstract

The invention relates to a seedling raising method using peat containers capable of increasing the survival rate of Pinus massoniana, which is characterized by including the steps: firstly, using nonwoven seedling containers as peat containers; secondly, using peat, vermiculite and garden soil as a culture medium; thirdly, preparing soil to make a bed; fourthly, soaking seeds in warm water, sterilizing and drying in the shade after washing; fifthly, sowing seeds into each peat container, covering with screened fine soil after sowing, covering with leaves of Pinus massoniana, and watering the medium thoroughly; sixthly, watering every day to maintain the leaves of Pinus massoniana humid before emergency of seedlings; removing the leaves of Pinus massoniana when the seeds are emergent 10-12 days later followed by sowing and the emergence rate of the seedlings reaches 60-80%; stopping watering 60-80 days later followed by sowing; and investigating seedling height, stem thickness and survival rate 90-100 days later followed by sowing, and obtaining qualified seedlings 10-12cm in height. The vermiculite, the garden soil and the peat are used as the medium, and the lightweight medium good in ventilation is beneficial to growth and development of seedling root systems.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a method for improving the survival rate of Pinus massoniana, in particular to a method for raising seedlings in containers for improving the survival rate of Pinus massoniana, belonging to the field of seedling raising in containers. Background technique [0002] Masson pine belongs to the genus Pinus of the order Pinaceae, a positive tree species, not tolerant to shade, fond of light and temperature, resistant to acid soil, resistant to drought and barrenness, and not resistant to waterlogging and saline-alkali soil. Masson pine is an important timber tree species and a pioneer tree species for afforestation on barren hills. It is also an important resource for pine resin production in my country, and its economic value is quite high. The distribution of masson pine is extremely wide, and it is also one of the main greening tree species in the south of the Yangtze River. For a long time, when using masson pine for afforestat...
