Abstract

The present invention aims to provide a cutting machine by which cuttings can be stopped from entering a housing through the extending portion of a reciprocating rod connected to a cutting blade. To achieve the abovementioned goal, the cutting machine in the invention is configured to have a housing (10), and the housing accommodates a motor (M) and a cooling fan (F) for cooling the motor (M); a reciprocating rod is arranged in the front of the housing which extends downward and can implement reciprocating movement driven by the motor, and a lower end of the rod (20) is connected to a cutting blade (30) for cutting a workpiece (W). A first blow passage (40A) is provided in the housing (10) and cooling air generated by the cooling fan (F9) forwardly flows in a direction intersecting the rod (20) from a rear side relative to the rod.
