Abstract
AKD(alkyl ketene dimer) neutral sizing agents are applied home and abroad widely at present. Due to the fact that AKD is free of charge and not easy to attach on paper fibers, AKD prepared by the conventional process is required to be emulsified by cationic starch generally so as to carry positive charge to attach on fibers with negative charge. Due to low charge density of cationic starch, the conventional process utilizing the cationic starch as an emulsifier and stabilizer has the disadvantages of low attachment rate on fibers, slow reaction with fibers, long sizing and curing time and the like. The invention provides a high-charge-density polymer/AKD(alkyl ketene dimer) instant-curing neutral sizing agent preparation process. The composite neutral sizing agent prepared by the process has the advantages of high charge density, high sizing degree, no curing period, no sizing delay, emulsion stability and the like.
Description
technical field [0001] The invention relates to the field of papermaking, in particular to a preparation method of a high charge density polymer / AKD composite neutral sizing agent. Background technique [0002] At present, the general trend of medium and high-grade paper sizing is to use neutral sizing. The neutral sizing agents widely used at home and abroad mainly include AKD, ASA, etc., among which AKD is used in the largest amount. AKD is an excellent neutral sizing agent, which can be used for internal sizing, and can also be used alone or in combination. It overcomes the disadvantages of papermaking with acid sizing agents, and can improve the strength of paper and save energy. Increase production, sizing effect is better than other sizing agents. [0003] Because AKD itself is not charged, it is difficult to stay on paper fibers. The traditional method is to emulsify AKD with cationic starch, so that AKD is positively charged and adsorbed on negatively charged fiber...
