Abstract

The invention relates to an economic crossbreeding method for increasing the benefit of a pure breeding pig farm, belonging to the field of animal genetic breeding. The economic crossbreeding method comprises the following steps of: 1) pure breeding: dividing a purely bred pig herd into two parts, i.e. a nucleus herd and a production herd, determining a scale of the nucleus herd according to a variety breeding target or a breed conservation plan, and taking pigs which do not function as the nucleus herd as the production herd; and 2) economic crossbreeding method: focusing on crossbreeding as for sows of the production herd, and alternately carrying out pure breeding and crossbreeding on sows of the nucleus herd. The crossbreeding advantages cannot be utilized in pure breeding of the pigs, and the economic benefit of the purely bred pigs is often lower, in particular to Chinese native pigs and pigs in bred variety. If economic crossbreeding is properly carried out in the pure breeding pig farm under the condition of ensuring to finish a pure breeding task, the economic benefit of the pig farm can be greatly increased.
