Benefits of technology

This patented technology allows multiple stages of testing underwater pipes by carrying them through separate tools called yffles or packages made of rubber material. By doing this, it provides efficient ways to conduct tests on different parts of the pipeline without compromising their effectiveness when tested individually. Additionally, separation between these steps helps improve the quality control (QC) data collected during the experiment. Overall, this new method enhances the overall success rate and precision of oil drilling operations.

Problems solved by technology

This patented problem addressed in the patents relates to improves the performance of horizontal drilling systems that use multiple sections or segments of an underground borehole system. These sections have varying levels of hydraulic conductivity along their length which makes it difficult to predict how much water will enter during initial phases when there may also be variations in flow rates within certain zones. Additionally, these sections often experience uneven stress conditions caused by changes in surrounding rock formations over time. Therefore, the goal of the testing process described in the newest version of the invention involves developing a reliable and efficient device capable of accurately detecting small amounts of water entering perpendicular directions while minimizing impact upon already highly stressed areas without causing damage.

Abstract

The invention discloses a multi-stage segmented release water exploration pipe column and a water exploration method for a casing well completion multi-stage fractured horizontal well. The multi-stage segmented release water exploration pipe column comprises a multi-stage water exploration pipe column component which is arranged in a horizontal segment casing of the horizontal well and comprises a screw plug, multiple Y441 type packers and a release joint arranged sequentially from bottom to top, wherein a sealed region between every adjacent two Y441 type packers forms a connecting segment; a safety joint and a switching device are sequentially connected in each connecting segment; and a production pile column component comprises an oil well pump, a plunger of the oil well pump and an oil pumping rod, the upper part of the oil well pump is connected with an oil pipe to the well mouth of the horizontal well, the plunger of the oil well pump is connected with the oil pumping rod, and the upper end of the oil pumping rod is connected with a ground oil pumping unit. The multi-stage segmented release water exploration pipe column disclosed by the invention realizes that one pipe column can complete water exploration testing of more layer segments and realize high water exploration testing efficiency, the test layer segments are not limited, the segmented water exploration function of the high-pressure horizontal well can be achieved, the peristalsis of the production pipe column can be avoided, and the accuracy in water exploration testing and the reliability in sealing of the pipe column can be improved.
