The invention is applicable to the field of LED luminaire protection circuits and particularly relates to an LED luminaire and a short-circuit protection circuit thereof. According to the embodiment, the short-circuit protection circuit of the LED luminaire comprises discrete components. When the LED luminaire short-circuits, a second switch tube is turned off by enabling a control end voltage of the second switch tube to be low level, a first switch tube is turned on by enabling the control end voltage the first switch tube to be high level, the first switch tube turns off a relay to cut off a power loop of a subsequent LED constant-current circuit, and accordingly short circuit is protected. The short-circuit protection circuit is simple in structure and low in cost. An energy storage capacitor C2 is disposed at a control end of the first switch tube. The first switch tube is turned on only after the energy storage capacitor C2 is fully charged. Therefore, false short circuit of the LED luminaire can be recognized, and malfunctioned short circuit protection is avoided.
