Problems solved by technology

Generally speaking, the green sub-pixels on the same type of pixel columns will have relatively similar physical phenomena, while the green sub-pixels on different types of pixel columns will usually produce green imbalance due to the different effects of surrounding pixel interference (green Unbalance), in this way, it may cause grid-like image, wrong color (false color) or blurred edges in the subsequent image reconstruction

Embodiment Construction

[0014] Please refer to figure 2 , figure 2 It is a schematic diagram of an adaptive pixel compensation process 20 according to an embodiment of the present invention. The adaptive pixel compensation process 20 is applied in an image processing device. Process 20 includes the following steps:

[0015] Step 200: start.

[0016] Step 202: Receive a set of image data.

[0017] Step 204: Calculate the brightness average of the first plurality of green sub-pixels around a green sub-pixel in the array of image data as a first average value, wherein the first plurality of green sub-pixels are located in at least one first category on the pixel column.

[0018] Step 206: Calculate the average brightness of a second plurality of green sub-pixels around the green sub-pixel as a second average value, wherein the second plurality of green sub-pixels are located on at least one second-type pixel row.

[0019] Step 208: Calculate an absolute difference between the first average value...

Abstract

The invention relates to an adaptive pixel compensating method which is applicable to image processing devices. The adaptive pixel compensating method includes receiving a plurality of groups of image data; computing luminance average value of a plurality of first green sub-pixels around a green sub-pixels in the groups of image data to be as a first average value; computing luminance average value of a plurality of second green sub-pixels around the green sub-pixel to be as a second average value; computing an absolute difference value of the first average value and the second average value; computing a luminance average gradient value of the green sub-pixel and a plurality of green sub-pixels around the green sub-pixel; and deciding whether to compensate the green sub-pixel or not according to the luminance value of the green sub-pixel, the absolute difference value and the luminance average gradient value, wherein the first green sub-pixels are arranged on at least one first type pixel list, and the second green sub-pixels are arranged on at least one second type pixel list.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to an adaptive pixel compensation method, in particular to an adaptive pixel compensation method based on brightness characteristic differences and changes. Background technique [0002] Image sensing components, such as complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor image sensors (CMOS image sensors, CIS) and charge-coupled (CCD) sensors, have been widely used in various consumer electronics products, such as digital cameras, personal digital assistants and smart mobile communications device etc. At present, various image sensing components are most often combined with color filters arranged in a Bayer pattern for image capture. Since the human eye has a larger resolution range for green information and can distinguish more details, in the pixel array using Bell graphics, the distribution of the three primary color pixels such as red, blue and green is not evenly distributed, but the distribution of the green pixels. accounted for a h...
