Abstract

The invention discloses a power supply, a power management device used for the power supply and a low-voltage and excess-temperature protective method used for the power management device. The power supply comprises a rectifier, a transformer and the power management device. The rectifier is used for receiving alternating voltage which has a voltage cycle. The transformer is coupled with the rectifier and is provided with an inductance component with is coupled with a switch. The transformer is sued for providing output voltage. The power management device is used for controlling the switch so that the inductance component can store power or release power. The power management device is provided with a multi-function end which is coupled with the rectifier to be used for detecting detection voltage corresponding to the positive semi-wave cycle of the alternating voltage and is coupled with a thermistor to be used for detecting an excess-temperature protective signal. Therefore, low-voltage protection and excess-temperature protection can be carried out on an integrated circuit of an existing six-connecting-foot series or an existing high-voltage eight-connecting-foot series.
