The reactor is characterized in that the magnetic conduction core column is formed by alternatively arraying and overlying a plurality of orthogonal magnetic control iron core cakes and uncontrollable iron cores; each orthogonal magnetic control iron core cake consists of a magnetic control iron core and a control winding which is wound on the iron core, exciting current passes by the control windings so as to generate control magnetic flux in the orthogonal magnetic control iron core cakes, and the direction of the control magnetic flux and the direction of the alternating current main flux of the reactor form 90-degree orthogonality; and the uncontrollable iron cores are always in unsaturated states, and the magnetic saturation degree of the orthogonal magnetic control iron core cakes is controlled according to the size of the exiting current.
