Abstract

The method comprises the following steps of: (1) converting an image to a Lab color space, dividing a color value range into n areas according to an L component, giving a corresponding number to each area, and converting each pixel value of the image into the number of the area which corresponds to the original color value of the pixel; (2) establishing the squares through each four pixels which are adjacent to one another according to the L component, and segmenting each square by dividing segments, wherein the vertexes with the same number in the squares are positioned in the same area, and the endpoints of the dividing segments are positioned in the centers of the sides of the squares; and (3) connecting the dividing segments with intersections to form parting lines for any two connected squares, wherein the parting lines and the outer edge of the image form the image boundary.
