The method comprises the step of brain image collection, the step of focus area and center determining, the step of eigenvalue extraction, the step of correlation calculation and the step of similar area determining. In the step of brain image collection, the brain of a patient is scanned to obtain a brain image. In the step of focus area and center determining, an appointed focus area and the center of the focus area are obtained from the brain image. In the step of eigenvalue extraction, gray level parameter values of pixel points in the brain image are extracted as the eigenvalue of the pixel points. In the step of correlation calculation, the cross correlation coefficient between the eigenvalue of the pixel points in the brain image and the eigenvalue of the center of the focus area is calculated.
