The method comprises the following steps: starting micropower wireless automatic networking according to a command of a main reading module of a concentrator; at the end of networking, starting meter reading and finding a route reaching a target address; and if the route of the target address is found, starting route meter reading to read data of an electric energy meter, and if no route of the target address is found and route meter reading is failed, starting flooding meter reading. The micropower wireless module used in the method is special wireless communication equipment which is installed on an intelligent electric energy meter and is in communication connection with a micropower wireless communication module of the concentrator to automatically read various parameters of the electric energy meter. The micropower wireless module is mainly used as a data transmission channel between the concentrator and the intelligent electric energy meter. By using the micropower wireless module, automatic networking can be realized. The method is in fully dynamic routing and high in safety and reliability, and can safely and stably read data from the electric energy meter.
