The system comprises a power supply, a key switch ON gear, a vehicle meter and a plurality of universal bus modules which have the same structure. The vehicle meter is connected with the multiple universal bus modules through CAN buses. The universal bus modules comprise an arousing circuit, a module power supply circuit, a central processor, a CAN communication interface circuit and a plurality of output interface circuits. The invention further provides the recognition method of the position recognition system of the vehicle universal bus module. Through simple software judgment, address recognition functions of different universal bus modules can be achieved, the universality and the applicability of the universal bus modules are enhanced, application complexity and the manufacturing cost of the universal bus modules are lowered, spare part inventory is lowered, and accordingly the manufacturing cost and the maintaining cost of vehicle auxiliary parts are saved.
